The Hourglass: digital wedding invitation
Turn it over, three times. The sand writes the rest.
A save-the-date as a glass hourglass in a walnut frame on deep blue velvet. Grab the frame and turn it 180 degrees: the sand runs live through the waist, grain by grain, and piles up at the bottom into words. Three turns, three reveals: first the names, then save the date, then the date in large numerals that harden into gold with a single glint. Tilt the glass and the flow stalls; the reflection on the glass never rotates. With a countdown to the last grain, numbers that count up, a programme that slips by and an RSVP where you promise your time: your own little hourglass joins the display cabinet, with more or less sand in the top bulb.
