The Blacklight: digital party invitation
Turn off the lights. Come in white.
A New Year's party that starts in the dark. At the top hangs a black wall with nothing to read on it; move your finger across it and a blacklight beam reveals what is written in neon paint: the date, the warehouse, the dress code and the password at the door. A counter keeps track of how much you have found, and the light switch puts the whole page under blacklight. The programme is six glowsticks: tap to crack, the stick bends, lights up in its colour and reveals a moment of the night; all six on and you have your bracelet. The practical details hang on the wall as neon signs (where, how, sleep, drinks, gift) that flicker on when you tap them. For the dress code you practise ahead: pick a neon colour and splatter paint on a white t-shirt, dragging for stripes. You reply by tagging the wall by the entrance: pick your neon colour and your name appears on the wall in glowing handwriting.
The demo opens in a new tab, with sample text and sample photos.
