The Paper Snowflake: digital party invitation
Fold, cut, unfold.
A Christmas Eve that starts with a pair of scissors. At the top lies a folded sheet of paper: pick a shape (triangle, diamond, circle, heart, slit) and tap to cut. Close to an edge it becomes a notch, in the middle a hole, and every cut really drops out of the paper. Then unfold: twelve folds swing apart, mirrored in turn, into a snowflake nobody else has. The string lights come on, it starts snowing with your flake, and the invitation is on the back of the paper. The programme hangs as a paper chain in red, cream, green and gold; the gift game has three rules; the practical details sit in a pop-up card that swings open with a little village rising from the paper. When you RSVP you hang your cut flake on the window, with your name on it, next to grandma’s.
The demo opens in a new tab, with sample text and sample photos.
