The Laboratory: digital party invitation
It lives. Almost.
A Halloween party in a mad professor’s lab, and the invitation is the monster on the table. At the top stands an operating table with four jars next to it: tap a jar and the head, torso, arms or legs fly onto the table. Once all four parts are in place the panel switches on: pull the red lever up with your finger to one hundred percent, the lights come on one by one, sparks jump between the coils, and at one hundred the lightning strikes: the screen flashes and shakes, the monster opens its eyes, sits up and raises its arms. Then the patient file with the invitation appears. Further down a logbook where test tubes fill as you scroll, a specimen picker (professor, monster, bride, assistant, test subject) with an analysis typed out letter by letter, practical details behind a safety door you open by holding the red button for two seconds, and a consent form with a heart monitor that only starts beating once you sign.
The demo opens in a new tab, with sample text and sample photos.
