The Dark Wood: digital party invitation
Stay on the path.
A Halloween party deep in the woods, and the invitation is the walk there. Bare trees with crooked branches, a big orange moon (tap it and it turns into a blood moon), fog, sparks and bats crossing the screen as you scroll deeper. An owl on a branch follows your finger or mouse with its eyes and spins its head when you tap it. In the graveyard stand five gravestones: tap one and a green hand rises from the ground holding a note, each a piece of the invitation. At the witch’s cauldron you toss four ingredients (the four moments of the night) into the brew one by one; it bubbles and changes colour until it boils over. Pick your form (vampire, ghost, witch, werewolf, skeleton) and the woods send bats, ghosts or brooms across the screen. The practical details sit under a cobweb you wipe away. When you RSVP the haunted house door opens, the windows glow green, bats fly out and your name goes on a gravestone. Light on the background, also on a phone.
The demo opens in a new tab, with sample text and sample photos.
