Candles: digital birthday invitation

Watch out for that one stubborn candle.

The classic birthday as a cake where you blow out the candles: swipe briskly across the flames and they bend with your breath before going out, each with its own curl of smoke. One candle is stubborn and flickers back to life after your first attempt, just like in real life. Once they are all out, the smoke trails write the age in the air together, you make a wish with your eyes closed amid floating gold dust, and the invitation unfolds as a patisserie card with ribbon. The icing quietly keeps dripping throughout. The RSVP sends your wish up on a balloon to the cloud wall, card attached.

The demo opens in a new tab, with sample text and sample photos.
