The Bubble Blower: digital birthday invitation
Blow, release, look. Three times and you know everything.
A first birthday where the guest does the work, because the birthday girl cannot do much yet. At the top hangs a bubble wand with a shimmering film. Hold the wand to blow: the bubble grows, a little meter keeps up, and above a visible wobble line the film starts to ripple. Let go in time and the bubble floats up to a rack at the top and settles, often with a second smaller bubble trailing it; five bubbles hide a letter (P-A-R-T-Y), the sixth a photo that stays as a round frame. Hold too long and the bubble bursts into droplets that splash on the screen and slowly run down. Too early is a pff. Three good blows and the invitation appears. Also: numbers that count up, the afternoon programme, practical details, and an RSVP where your own name bubble rises and keeps bobbing. Works with finger, mouse and space bar, with a button to skip the blowing.
The demo opens in a new tab, with sample text and sample photos.
