The Piñata: digital birthday invitation
Three clean hits and you know everything.
A fiesta birthday where the guest gets the stick. At the top a donkey piñata swings on a rope; now and then someone off screen gives it an extra push. Tap when it hangs at the lowest point (the dotted line turns turquoise) and the hit counts in full: the stick swings in, the field shakes, the donkey yelps. Too early or too late is a glancing blow. Every clean hit leaves damage: an angry eyebrow and a drooping ear, a dent, a crooked eye, and each time a strip of crepe paper flutters down. On hit three it bursts: a rain of candy, three prizes rolling out (a yo-yo, a moustache on a stick and the invitation scroll) and one candy that bounces off screen and rolls back in later. The invitation appears as unrolled parchment. Also: papel picado, numbers that count up, the programme (tapas, piñata, playlist, cake and tequila), practical details, and an RSVP that puts your party prop with a name card on the party table. Works with tap, mouse and space bar, with a button to skip the hitting.
The demo opens in a new tab, with sample text and sample photos.
